Ruchira hails from a Musical Gharana, born on the 30th day of March, is a vocalist with an mellifluous voice and endearing aura of charm and elegance, whose father and Mother both trained and initiated her into vocal music. Her passion for music was present right from the moment she uttered her first words.

She

spent most of her formative years in kolkata amidst multicultural environs and some really eminent musical talent that resided in the vicinity.

Ruchira has transcended the barriers of caste,creed and language with her immaculate style of music and charm.

Persistence and conviction drove Ruchira to persue a proessional singing career since more than 18 years.

ABROAD : So many stages organised by Indian Sports Club,Gujrati Club,Bengali Club,Punjabi Club, Ruchira has astounded audiences with nostalgic lively performances in the major cities of the country and also in UK, London, Leicster, Dubai, Sharjah, Masafi, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Scotland, Manchester, Blackburn, Burmingham,Uganda(East Africa) etc... She has over 800 shows and a music album to her credit. Her shows have been well received and appreciated by the worldly audience.

Dandiya Show : Ruchira's excellent voice rang clearly through "Tara Vina Shyam..", "Kumkum na pagla..", "Sathiya Puravo dware.." among some of favourite Gujrati Folks during Navratri shows every year in different countries...

Ruchira is blessed with a rich,soulful and sonorous voice which traverses effortlessly over all three octaves. The highlight of her vocalizing is her perfect diction,clarity in sur and extreme soulfulness.

Ruchira has included the slow elaboration in her "ragashrayee" songs in the manner of her Guru (Father) and also developed exceptional expertise in the use of sargams and taankari.

Her vocal prowess is the infusion of an emotional content into her melodic elaboration.

Living presently in peaceful environs of Mumbai, this simple but dedicated singer intends to pursue her sadhna with greater energy and vigour..
